Clydebank South Bank

In 2009 Clydebank was awarded £1.825 million from the Scottish Government’s Town Centre Regeneration Fund to undertake public realm improvements on the south bank of the canal between Kilbowie Road and Argyll Road.

Working with the lead designer, Harrison Stevens and Broadway Malyan, NORD were responsible for two key elements within Three Queens Square. These were the relocation and refurbishment of the existing bandstand and backdrop signage to reinforce the civic nature of the space and its transformation to a modern and attractive event space. This large signage element mirrors the three ship names of the famous Queens built at the nearby John Brown shipyard - Mary, Elizabeth, QEII.

It is envisaged that both these elements will aid to further enhance Clydebank’s new modern identity and strengthen its presence on the wider canal network.
