A Room for London
A Room for London was an invited competition by Living Architecture for the installation of a domestically scaled intervention on the roof of the Queen Elizabeth Hall on the London's South Bank.
The form of the room has been extruded out towards the north, east and west horizons, each extrusion occupied by a different function - Sitting (north) Study (east) Kitchenette (South) Sleeping (west). This choreographed arrangement of function allows for a city scale orientation, enjoyment of sunrise & sunset and affords the visitor an ability to change their outlook throughout the day.
