Brian McGinlay
ARCHITECT
B.Eng(Hons), PG.Dip, M.Arch. ARB
Brian studied architecture at the University of Strathclyde and gained his Masters in Advanced Architectural Design [AAD]. He graduated from university in 2003 and qualified as an architect in 2006. Brian worked for JM Architects / McKeown Alexander in Glasgow for 3 years, working on a large number of education projects before joining NORD in early 2007.
Brian is responsible for leading multi-disciplinary design teams in the running of a number of NORD projects, one of these being the redevelopment of the WASPS Creative Industries Hub in Glasgow’s Merchant City. Brian’s design led focus is a key factor in project design development at every stage; he is also responsible for coordinating the practice’s internal design reviews, which are central to NORD’s approach to the delivery of high quality design.
Brian is currently a 4th Year design studio tutor for the under-graduate course at the University of Strathclyde.
